Township of Adjala-Tosorontio Donation Supports Child and Youth Mental Health Services in Alliston

Township of Adjala-Tosorontio Donation

The Mayor and Council of the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio donated $300 in support of child and youth mental health services at New Path Youth & Family Services (New Path), the Lead Agency for child and youth mental health in Simcoe County.

“We are a small community but one big family, everyone in our community is important. Every person that we can help and every life that we can save is an achievement and success for our council,” says Floyd Pinto, Township of Adjala-Tosorontio Mayor. “I am extremely happy to have many members of council share this view. Our council will continue to support New Path and all that this organization does for our community.”

New Path’s child and youth mental health services are available at six locations across Simcoe County. Child and youth mental health walk-in clinics offer an immediate counselling session and can be the first step to accessing a full-range of additional child and youth mental health services. The Alliston walk-in clinics run every Thursday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm at 46 Wellington Street West. For more information please call 705-725-7656.

“We are thankful for this donation from the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio to our Alliston location,” says Elizabeth McKeeman, New Path Youth & Family Services Chief Executive Officer.  “And we look forward to continuing to work with the Mayor and Council to ensure that children, youth and their families in the Alliston community know about and are able to access these essential mental health services when and where they need them.”
