The Bimbombay Memorial Fund. Thank you for your support of children and youth!

New Path Donation

New Path is honoured to be the first recipient of a new fund, The Bimbombay Memorial Fund at the Huronia Community Foundation. Jane Courtemanche established the fund in memory of her son, Duncan. Bimbombay is the name of the family cottage where Duncan enjoyed his childhood and extended family. Sadly, Duncan took his own life after a long struggle with depression.

Jane wants to provide support to young people who are struggling with mental health and transitions. She was very excited about the Quick Access Child and Youth Mental Health Clinic offered by New Path for children, youth and their families aged 0-18. In Midland, New Path provides mental health support to young people at the Youth Wellness Hub. The hub provides a range of services and supports to young people as we know that it is critical to get the right supports to young people, when and where they need them.

The Youth Wellness Hub in Midland is located at 287 Bayshore Drive along with many other primary care services. New Path provides a range of mental health services to children, youth and families and the Quick Access Child and Youth Mental Health Clinic which can be accessed by booking an appointment at a time and location (in-person, online or by-phone) that is convenient for you. It is a great place to start to get some immediate support. Book today: www.newpath.ca/book-now/

Thank you to the Huronia Community Foundation for reaching out to New Path and a very special thank you to Jane, for having the courage and strength to provide some much-needed resources to her community so that youth can have a better chance of getting support for their mental health needs.

With appreciation,

Elizabeth McKeeman
