Thank you Liz for your Dedicated Service

Elizabeth McKeeman retirement

As we begin the new year, we have a leadership and staffing update to share that is taking place at New Path Youth and Family Services.

Elizabeth McKeeman is retiring as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) after 37 years of dedicated service to our organization. She has led with passion that has been seen and felt by all who have worked with her. Among her many accomplishments, she has led the organization through the challenges of adapting to the pandemic, multiple rounds of negotiations, and expansions to a new office in Barrie and Common Roof in Collingwood. Thanks to the leadership team that Elizabeth has nurtured, the agency is in a strong place to oversee a transition to a new CEO.

Elizabeth’s last day of work in the role will be Friday April 14th, and she looks forward to spending time with her family including her two grandchildren and retired husband. The Board of Directors has enjoyed working closely with Elizabeth during her time as CEO and wishes her all the best in her upcoming journey as she spends time with family, friends, and basks in the joy of her upcoming retirement. Please join me in celebrating Elizabeth and all her accomplishments.

The Board of Directors has completed the process of hiring New Path’s next CEO, and is delighted to announce that Jim Harris has accepted the position as Chief Executive Officer at New Path Youth and Family Services. As an existing member of the New Path family and an experienced leader, Jim will step into the role and assume responsibilities on April 15th, 2023.

As many of us know, Jim has worked in a leadership capacity in the field of mental health and addictions for over 20 years. During this time, he has been an active participant in system design and service delivery throughout local, regional, provincial, and national levels. Jim brings with him a dedication to mental health, extensive community connections, a cooperative approach, and a consistent focus on leveraging the collective strengths of our community partners to advance service delivery in our communities.

The Board of Directors has had the pleasure of working closely with Jim throughout the past couple years, and we look forward to continuing our work together in the years to come. Please join me in celebrating and welcoming Jim into his new position!

We appreciate your continued support of New Path and its services, ensuring that all children, youth, and their families can access mental health supports when and where they are needed.
