ONLINE BOOKING TOOL ALLOWS GREATER ACCESS TO FREE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Simcoe County – New Path Youth & Family Services (New Path) has launched a new online booking tool to allow children, youth and their families across Simcoe County to easily book free, professional, single-session counselling services, in-person, by phone or online. Appointments through the Quick Access Child and Youth Mental Health Clinic can be made up to two weeks ahead of time and also on the same day.

“In just a few clicks, children, youth and their families can quickly and easily access counselling services when and where they need them,” says Kyle Murray, Manager of Clinical Services at New Path. “The pandemic has substantially increased calls to our intake department, and we’ve had longer than usual response times. This is not what we want or what our community needs. This tool allows for appointments to be booked quickly and easily, often on the same day.”

Appointments for the Quick Access Child and Youth Mental Health Clinic are available Monday to Thursday from 9 am – 7 pm, with a last booking time of 5:30 pm. To book an appointment, visit: www.newpath.ca/book-now/
