Jim Harris to Lead New Path as New CEO

Simcoe County – New Path Youth and Family Services (New Path) will welcome Jim Harris as the new Chief Executive Officer to the agency on April 15, 2023. Harris has worked in a leadership capacity in the field of mental health and addictions for over 20 years, including three years at New Path as its Director of Operations and Planning. During this time, Harris has been an active participant in system design and service delivery throughout local, regional, provincial, and national levels.

“The Board of Directors at New Path is pleased to share this news with our community and are confident in Jim’s ability to guide and lead New Path with a thoughtful leadership approach. He brings with him a dedication to mental health, extensive community connections, a cooperative approach, and a consistent focus on leveraging the collective strengths of our community partners to advance service delivery in our communities,” says Dale Boyle, New Path’s Board Chair. “Jim is a proven leader who embodies the values of the organization, and we look forward to working with him in the years to come.”

Harris’ selection follows a planned succession journey over the past few years which has been guided by New Path’s vision and strategic direction. It flows from identified current and future needs of the organization, including the leadership skills and experience required to ensure that New Path continues to provide accessible, inclusive, and high-quality mental health services to children, youth and their families across Simcoe County.

“I am honoured to have been selected as New Path’s next CEO and I look forward to continuing to work with our leadership team, staff and community partners to propel forward New Path’s vision of healthy, thriving and connected communities that support personal growth and wellbeing,” says Harris. “New Path is a community of incredible professionals who change people’s lives. I strive to continue our legacy of excellence in supporting the mental health needs of children, youth and their families.”
