Simcoe County – Employees at Manpower in Barrie raised $1700 in support of the New Path Youth and Family Services Residential Treatment program. Employees of the Barrie-based business took part in a fundraising dinner and auction at the Boston Pizza Alliston location.
“Manpower chose New Path as our charity of choice for our fundraiser because my team has witnessed firsthand over the past two years the impact that New Path has had on my family. My daughter has struggled with mental health issues and after a long struggle to find her help in Simcoe County, New Path opened their doors to us. I have always believed that New Path saved my daughter’s life,” says Patricia Lamarche, Manpower Market Delivery Lead. “Their support to both youth struggling with mental and their families is incredible. New Path not only deals with the in crisis stage of mental health, they continue to offer ongoing support to clients as they transition back to their homes and their community. Should the youth hit a bump in the road to health when they return home, New Path continues to support clients and ensure they get back on the right path. My debt of gratitude is endless and I will always support New Path I have been fortunate enough to have their support when my family needed it.”
The dinner and auction was held at Boston Pizza as part of their Celebrity Server Night. These events at Boston Pizza allow employees at various organizations to volunteer their time in order to raise funds for community programs; a portion of the evening dinner sales go to the community program. Manpower staff assisted in the serving of dinners and donated items of substantial worth to the silent auction, of which all proceeds went to New Path.
“The staff at New Path’s Residential Treatment Program are so extremely appreciative of this generous donation and the positive impacts this will have on the youth that access our services,” says Linda Bieman, New Path Youth and Family Services Supervisor. “The team is planning to allocate these funds to enhance programming and activities for youth currently in the program.”
