The following position is currently available for an enthusiastic and self  motivated individual to work in our Barrie program.

PARTNER ASSAULT RESPONSE COUNSELLOR – Full Time (1  year contract)

To provide counselling for adult men and women who are referred to the Partner Assault Response Services
as part of a coordinated community response. Giving support and counselling to
their female partners (predominantly performed by female staff) and contribute
to the knowledge of community groups/professional organizations regarding
issues related to violence against women.

Qualifications:  

  1. B.S.W., or equivalent degree in Social or Behavioural Science
  2. Minimum of 2 years experience in providing group and individual counselling to adults.
  3. Specialized training and experience in the area of violence against women.
  4. A well developed understanding of the issues of violence against women in a
    societal context and a commitment to promote non-violent relationships.
  5. Demonstrated aptitude in the use of software including word processing and data management
  6. Available to work flexible hours, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  7. Model New Path’s core competencies as indicated on our
