New Path and the Barrie Community Health Centre have partnered to host the Simcoe New Mentality youth group.  The New Mentality is a network of youth facilitated groups across Ontario who work with partner agencies in their communities, to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Each group has dedicated youth and adult allies who work together on projects throughout the year to promote community awareness and engagement in the conversation about Children’s Mental Health.

The goal is to empower our group members to use their voices and go out and spread the word that YOU are not alone in your feelings and experiences- there is a network of support in your community and you can reach out for help if you need it.

With the current pandemic the Simcoe New Mentality is hosting meetings virtually over zoom.  No need to leave the comfort of your bedroom.  Join us every Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 pm to engage and connect, with a fun activity planned at the end of each month.  Our youth facilitator will lead the meetings with the support of our adult allies; youth ranging from the ages of 12-18 years old attend regularly.  Volunteer hours are provided, along with other great opportunities for youth engagement.
