Adolescent Outreach

This client-centered program is for high school aged youth and their families who require support, counselling or life skills development to address challenges with social relationships, mood or behaviour.

This program can be offered in high schools or in an office setting.

Attendance Centre

This client-centered program is for youth ages 12-17 and their families. Youth must currently be on a probation order. The Attendance Centre programming provides counselling and support to help reduce the risk of future involvement in the youth criminal justice system.

This program works in partnership with Probation Officers and can provide support to youth in our office setting, the youth’s school or the community. The length of service varies depending on the goals and conditions of the youth’s probation order.

Brief in Three Program

This client-centered program is for children, youth and families who require greater support than what is provided in our Walk -In Clinic. Counselling will focus on the development of strategies to effectively cope with their presenting concerns. A maximum of 3 sessions is offered within a 2 month time frame.

Extra-Judicial Measures and Extra-Judicial Sanctions Program

This client-centered program is for youth ages 12-17 and their families who have come in contact with the law and are ordered by a Police Officer or Youth Court to attend this program.

The Extra-Judicial Measures and Extra-Judicial Sanctions programming provides counselling and support to help reduce the risk of future involvement in the youth criminal justice system.

This program works in partnership with Elizabeth Fry Society and can provide support to youth in our office setting, the youth’s school or the community. The typical length of service is 6 weeks to 3 months, depending on the youth’s sanctions/measures.

New Directions Treatment Program

This client-centered program is for youth ages 12-17 and their families who have come in contact with the law and are ordered by a Police Officer or Youth Court to attend this program.

This client-centered assessment and counselling program is for youth ages 12-18 who have been convicted of sexual offence related charges. Youth must currently be on a probation order.

This program works from a strengths-based perspective in partnership with Probation Officers and provides clinical intervention to youth and their families. On average, service can last approximately 12 months.

Probation In House Clinical Service (PICS)

This client-centered program is for youth ages 12-17 and their families. Youth must currently be on a probation order.

The PICS program provides brief counselling and support to help reduce the risk of future involvement in the youth criminal justice system.

This program works in partnership with Probation Officers and can provide support to youth and their families in our office setting, the youth’s school or the community.

PICS is a brief service, up to 6 sessions in duration.

Residential Program

This client-centered program is for youth ages 11 through 18 years of age and their families who are experiencing significant social, emotional and behavioural problems and require an intensive 24 hour therapeutic setting. Residential placement is considered after other community-based interventions have been exhausted.

Teen and Parent Success Program

This client-centered program is for teens who are experiencing parent-teen conflict. The family is involved with or at risk of becoming involved with the child welfare system

The New Mentality

The New Mentality is a provincial network of youth and allies working to amplify youth voice to influence change within the mental health system and beyond. Our work is grounded in the belief that youth experiencing mental illness must contribute to building and improving the mental health system.

Youth and Family Counselling

This client-centered program is for children and youth up to 18 years of age and their families, who require clinical interventions to address significant needs concerning social, emotional or behavioural challenges. The Youth and Family Counselling Program seeks to improve identified challenges and overall functioning. This program provides regular and consistent sessions that are focused on the client’s needs and goals for a duration of up to 6 months.
