Blind – Low Vision Program

This client-centered program is for parents of infants and pre-school children who require support or counselling as they adjust to the knowledge that their child is blind or has low vision, as diagnosed by an Ophthalmologist.

The therapist provides supportive counselling and can help to connect you and your family with the service providers you wish to meet, and will connect you with other community agencies to help ensure that all of your needs as a family are met. This program provides brief counselling supports to families in an office or home based setting.

Brief in Three Program

This client-centered program is for children, youth and families who require greater support than what is provided in our Walk -In Clinic. Counselling will focus on the development of strategies to effectively cope with their presenting concerns.  A maximum of 3 sessions is offered within a 2 month time frame.

Children’s Treatment Network
Child and Family Counselling Program

This service is part of the Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) partnership and provides integrated counselling services to children, youth and their families.

This service is for children and youth up to age 19 (or up to age 21 if attending school) with multiple special needs, who reside in Simcoe County.

Early Years Services

This client-centered program is for children ages 0-6 and their families who require support or counselling to address challenges with social, emotional or behavioural challenges.

This program provides Walk-In and Office based family and group sessions and limited in-home support.

Infant Hearing Program

This client-centered program is for parents of infants and pre-school children who require support or counselling as they adjust to the knowledge that their child is deaf or hard of hearing.

The therapist provides supportive counselling and can help to connect you and your family with the service providers you wish to meet and will connect you with other community agencies to help ensure that all of your needs as a family are met.

This program provides counselling support to families in an office or home based setting. This could be in the form of either a brief or longer term service, depending on the client need.

Youth and Family Counselling

This client-centered program is for children and youth up to 18 years of age and their families, who require clinical interventions to address significant needs concerning social, emotional or behavioural challenges. The Youth and Family Counselling Program seeks to improve identified challenges and overall functioning. This program provides regular and consistent sessions that are focused on the client’s needs and goals for a duration of up to 6 months.
