Children’s Mental Health Week 2026

Please join us as we #shinegreen for child and youth mental health across Simcoe County!

Children’s Mental Health Week (CMHW) is almost here! This is our opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of child and youth mental health and how to access mental health support when needed.

Annually, Children’s Mental Health Week takes place during the first week of May and this year it is taking place May 4-10.

We encourage you to participate by:

  • wearing a green ribbon and/or the colour green
  • taking part in an outdoor physical activity to support mental wellness
  • tagging New Path on social media (on FacebookX or Instagram) and sharing how you are shining green using the hashtags #CMHW2026 #shinegreen #NewPath
  • downloading a mandala colouring page
  • participating in a commUNITY art workshop (more information below)

This year, we’re once again teaming up with the MacLaren Art Centre for the commUNITY art project – a series of FREE, hands-on creative workshops designed to bring families and youth together through the power of art. And this year… we’re growing!

The Barrie Public Library is joining the collaboration to help us ignite even more creativity across our community. 🎨✨

Spots are limited — register today!

Workshops run throughout April, with a special exhibition of participants’ artwork showcased at the MacLaren in May.
