New Path Names Scholarship Recipients

SIMCOE COUNTY – New Path Foundation and New Path Youth & Family Services are pleased to announce the 2019-2020 recipients of the Glen Newby Scholarship. This scholarship fund supports the legacy and commitment of Glen Newby and his work in child and youth mental health in assisting youth in their pursuit of post-secondary education and/or apprenticeship programs.

The successful applicants are Elli Chan from Bradford, Holly Kehoe from Orillia and Josiah Robb from Barrie who have all exhibited exceptional academic success and promise as well as a strong commitment to community. Chan is entering her first year of studies in computer science at the University of Toronto in September, and Kehoe is entering her fourth year of studies in social work at Lakehead University. She will receive an Honours Bachelor of Social Work in 2021. Robb will be studying dental hygiene to become a registered dental hygienist and hopes to practice in Ontario.

“I am so proud of the dedication of Elli, Holly and Josiah in their pursuit of academic excellence and to activities that promote the greater good of the community,” says James Thomson, President and CEO of New Path Foundation. “This scholarship reflects New Path’s commitment to providing opportunities for youth to pursue their dreams of getting a post-secondary education.”
