What need is addressed by the program?

This client-centered program is for women who have experienced abuse in a partner relationship.

What will the program help me achieve?

The program will assist women  to:

  • have a greater understanding of equal and healthy partner relationships
  • increase their self-confidence, assertiveness skills and sense of independence
  • have a greater sense of safety in their lives

What are the major service activities of the program?

The Partner Abuse Program involves 2 major service activities as follows:

  1. An initial assessment period to establish client needs and goals
  1. Individual counselling for women

Who provides service in this program?

Counselling is provided by a Partner Abuse Counsellor.

No, this service is funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
