Children’s Treatment Network Child and Family Counselling Program

Who is This Service For?

This service is part of the Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) partnership and provides integrated services to children/youth and their families.   This service is for children/youth up to age 19 (or up to age 21 if attending school)  with multiple special needs who reside in Simcoe County.

Who Can Make a Referral?

  • Professionals working with the child and family can request service, upon family consent
  • CTN Network ACCESS Service Navigators, with the family’s consent

What Services are Available?

  • Short term counselling and support for families and children with multiple special needs who are experiencing heightened levels of stress (6 to 12 sessions)
  • Consultations           
  • Supportive services while you wait
  • Referral to other community services if appropriate
  • Follow up services

Where is the Service Located?

Consultations and counselling sessions are usually conducted at a CTN Network Local Site throughout Simcoe County

Is There a Cost for this Service?

There is no charge to families for individual and family counselling.  Some groups charge a fee to cover the cost of meals, snacks, materials and outings.   Information regarding fees is available in program pamphlets.  Inability to pay does not limit access to service.
