Adolescent Outreach Program

What need is addressed by the program?

This client-centered program is for high school aged youth and their families who require support, counselling or life skills development to address challenges with social relationships, mood or behaviour.  This program can be offered in high schools or in an office setting.

What will the program help me achieve?

The program will assist clients to:

  • develop a greater understanding of their strengths and challenges
  • learn life skills and coping strategies that will assist them in managing their mood, behaviour and social /familial  relationships

What are the major service activities of the program?

The Adolescent Outreach program involves 3 major service activities as follows:

  1.  An initial assessment period to establish client needs and goals
  2.  Individual and/or group counselling
  3.  Parent support

Who provides service in this program?

Counselling is provided by an Adolescent Outreach Worker.

No, this service is funded by the Ministry of Children & Youth Services.
