Strategic Priorities/2009-10 Plan
New Path has chosen the following four strategic priorities that will support our mission.
Program Priority
Meet the mental health needs of children/youth/families in Simcoe County. In 2009/10, the following initiatives will support this priority:
- New Path will review all programs and services.
- New Path will identify opportunities to improve the mix/quality of current services, identify potential new services and develop a plan in response to these findings.
Stakeholder Priority
For our key stakeholders to understand that New Path makes a difference. In 2009/10, the following initiatives will support this priority:
- New Path will develop a robust communication plan.
- As defined by the communication plan, New Path will bench mark the opinion of key stakeholders and launch initiatives that will influence the opinions of these stakeholders.
Organizational Capacity Priority
To be the employer of choice in children, youth, and family mental health in Simcoe County. In 2009/10, the following initiatives will support this priority:
- New Path will develop core competencies for the agency.
- New Path will review job descriptions and performance evaluations in relation to the new competencies.
- New Path will improve the communication rating in the Climate survey through the development of an electronic system to communicate with all staff. New Path will communicate to staff in a timely manner.
Financial Priority
Diversified/dependable/predictable growth in revenue. In 2009/10, the following initiatives will support this priority:
- New Path will continue the upgrade to the financial system in order to provide appropriate and timely management reports.
- New Path will implement the upgrade of the human resource information system.
- New Path will clarify revenue and budgetary performance goals.
